Medallia acquired Zingle in 2019 and integrated its messaging technology into the Medallia platform. The independent Zingle brand was gradually retired, while the product evolved into Medallia Concierge. Some legacy domains, applications, and developer resources continued using the Zingle name.
Zingle was a cloud-based customer messaging and engagement platform designed primarily for hospitality, travel, healthcare, and service-oriented businesses. The service helped companies communicate with customers through SMS, web messaging, and other digital channels from a centralized inbox. Its main goal was to make customer conversations faster, more personal, and easier to manage at scale.
Hotels and resorts used Zingle to answer guest questions, confirm requests, send arrival information, manage room-service messages, and collect feedback. Restaurants, clinics, property managers, and other service teams could use the platform for appointment reminders, notifications, support conversations, and operational updates.
Zingle included automation tools, message routing, templates, team collaboration, analytics, and integrations with business systems. Automated workflows could respond to common questions, assign conversations to employees, and trigger messages based on customer activity. The platform also allowed organizations to maintain conversation histories and coordinate support across multiple departments.
A major strength of Zingle was its focus on real-time, conversational service rather than traditional email-based support. Customers could contact a business using familiar messaging channels, while employees managed those interactions from one workspace. This helped reduce response times, improve service consistency, and create a more modern customer experience without requiring customers to install a separate application.
