Targetprocess, 2021 yılında Apptio tarafından satın alındı ve Apptio Targetprocess olarak yeniden markalandı. IBM daha sonra 2023'te Apptio'yu satın aldı. Ürün, kurumsal stratejik portföy yönetimine odaklanan IBM Targetprocess olarak aktif kalmaya devam ederken, orijinal web sitesi artık Apptio'nun platformuna yönlendiriliyor.
Targetprocess, organizasyonların karmaşık ürün geliştirmelerini planlamasına, takip etmesine ve iyileştirmesine yardımcı olmak için tasarlanmış bir proje ve iş yönetim platformuydu. 2004 yılında kurulan bu hizmet, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe ve hibrit süreçler dahil olmak üzere Agile metodolojilerini destekliyordu. Esnek veri modeli, şirketlerin portföyleri, programları, ürünleri, sürümleri, takımları, kullanıcı hikayelerini, görevleri, hataları ve test senaryolarını tek bir bağlı sistem içinde organize etmelerine olanak tanıyordu.
Targetprocess'in tanımlayıcı bir özelliği, yapılandırılabilir görsel arayüzüydü. Kullanıcılar, rollere ve iş akışlarına göre uyarlanmış panolar, zaman çizelgeleri, yol haritaları, listeler, panolar ve raporlar oluşturabiliyordu. Yöneticiler portföy düzeyinde görünürlük kazanırken, ürün yöneticileri özellikleri ve sürümleri önceliklendirebiliyor, geliştirme ekipleri ise teslimat faaliyetlerini yönetebiliyordu. Platform ayrıca kapasite planlaması, bağımlılık izleme, zaman izleme, kalite güvence araçları, özel alanlar, otomasyon kuralları ve performans metrikleri sunuyordu.
Targetprocess, birden fazla takımı ve stratejik girişimleri koordine eden orta ve büyük organizasyonlar için özellikle uygundu. Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub ve ServiceNow gibi araçlarla yapılan entegrasyonlar, her ekibin mevcut iş akışını terk etmesini zorunlu kılmadan teslimat bilgilerini konsolide etmeye yardımcı oldu. API'si ve genişletilebilirlik seçenekleri sayesinde, işletmeler platformu operasyonel gereksinimlere uyacak şekilde uyarlayabiliyordu. Genel olarak, Targetprocess, şirket stratejisini pratik uygulama ile birleştirerek, yatırım planlaması, kaynak tahsisi, ilerlemenin izlenmesi ve yazılım teslimatını sürekli iyileştirme için ortak bir ortam sağlıyordu.
